Skilled Trades Instructors for Non-Credit Courses - Alfred State College

Job Description:
Alfred State's Center for Community Education and Training is looking for individuals who have education/training in skilled trade areas and have worked in the trades field for 5-7 years to teach short courses in collaboration with the NYS & CSEA Partnership for Education and Training. Immediate need for instructors to teach electrical, masonry, carpentry, plumbing, air conditioning and refrigeration, Small Engine Basics, and Energy Conservation courses. Courses are taught across New York State. Instructors are paid per course and reimbursed travel expenses in accordance with New York State per diems.
Associates Degree in a specific trade or closely related field plus 5-7 years experience working in a trade field.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
