The Associate Registrar is responsible for the efficient management and operation of the daily activities that support student registration and academic record maintenance within the Office of Student Records and Financial Services, which encompasses the Financial Aid, Student Accounts, and Records Offices. The Associate Registrar is responsible for maintaining and certifying record compliance in accord with Alfred State policy, applicable laws and regulations. Additional responsibilities include maintaining the degree audit system, monitoring academic standing and graduation, and providing exceptional customer service to Alfred's students, alumni, parents, faculty, and staff. This position is responsible for the supervision of staff and must work collaboratively with various constituents across campus encompassing all levels of academic, student affairs, events management, facilities and other non-academic units.


Job Requirements:

Minimum Qualifications: A Bachelor's degree is required in addition to three or more years of higher education or related professional work experience.

Preferred Qualifications: A Master's degree in Business Administration or other relevant discipline. Applicants should demonstrate successful experience in providing excellent customer service, maintaining a supportive working environment, and creating collaborative relationships. In addition, candidates will have taken a leadership role in committee and professional organization activities including experience in public speaking. A minimum of one year of supervisory experience is recommended. Supervisory experience in Records is preferred. Knowledge of BANNER and Degree Works along with demonstrated experience in SQL or other database query language is strongly desired.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
